I Am Open: Mantra for Perspective & Possibility

This heart-centered mantra practice uses “I am open” to create space for new perspectives, possibilities, and insights that the thinking mind may not yet have considered. If you feel stuck inside a familiar problem, attached to one interpretation, or exhausted from trying to intellectually force an answer, this practice helps you soften certainty and return to receptive awareness. Let the mantra widen your perspective, release the need to fix, and allow something genuinely new to reveal itself.

Hello, beautiful soul, and welcome to Meditate with Mandy. I’m Mandy, and it is my honor and joy to share a moment of presence with you today.

Wherever you are in time and space, go ahead and get cozy and get comfy. And when you’re ready, flutter your beautiful eyelids closed and take a deep, smooth breath in through your nose and let it go through your mouth.

Perfect.

Another breath in through your nose. Release it through your mouth. In through your nose, slow and smooth, and let it go through your mouth.

Perfection.

Now breathe easy, in and out through your nose, your own tempo, your own pace. Bring yourself into the body by directing your awareness to the center of your chest, filling that space with presence, with breath if that feels right, and relax your body.

Today we’re gently going to open ourselves to the possibility that intellectually, we haven’t yet seen it all. Intellectually, we don’t yet know it all.

And the beauty of this openness is that it allows us to remain hopeful, faithful, and joyful.

When we stay present with the possibility that in our mind, we haven’t yet seen every corner of this universe, that means anything which feels like an obstacle or a conundrum may easily be shifted by a simple willingness to be open to a new vantage point.

And today we set that intention.

Our mantra is:

I am open.

We can repeat the mantra. We can hold it in our heart. We can let it anchor us when our mind wanders away. We can drop it from a great cosmic dropper into the center of our chest.

And we can move between any of those options throughout the duration of this session.

So lean into what feels like play and what feels like ease. And maybe what tickles the corners of your mouth into a smile.

We’ll focus our awareness on I am open and move that mantra into any area of the body that it feels nourishing in, or simply repeat it in the mind like a rhythm and let our neurons dance.

So at your leisure, my sweet friend, breathe easy in through your nose and out through your nose, and invite the mantra in.

I am open.

I am open.

I am open.

I’ll be right here with you, meditating on the very same.

Here we go, my sweet friend.

Let’s open.

[Silent interlude]

Beautiful, my sweet friend. Beautiful.

I am open.

I am open.

I am open.

Let yourself take a nice, relaxing inhale in through your nose and hold it for just a moment at the top of the inhale, feeling yourself in stillness, and then let it go through your mouth.

Again, draw in another smooth inhale in through your nose and let it go through your mouth.

And finally, bless that inhale in through your nose, smooth and easy, and release it like play, like joy.

Now returning to your easy nasal breathing, allow yourself to be present with this possibility before we open our eyes: the possibility that in the hours that remain of this day or night, you may see things in a way you never have before.

Even a thought or a perspective you’ve held 10,000 times may be new today.

Not renewed energy, but brand new sight.

And it is you as the witness, choosing to hold life without compulsively having to fix it, but instead allowing the answer to reveal itself to you.

Allowing your energy to take the shape of the key that clicks open any lock.

Remember, my sweet friend:

All keys and all locks exist only in ourselves.

Our external world is simply a mirror.

So, my darling friend, with that, when you’re ready, flutter those beautiful eyelids open and take a look at your mirror.

Everything serves as an archetype, a symbol to surprise you, to celebrate you, to inspire you, to open you.

I’m so grateful to be one such symbol in your journey.

Until we meet again, I am sending you all of the love that I’ve got.

It’s always more.

It’s never less.

Because you, dear one, you are so very worthy.
