Hello, beautiful soul, and welcome to Meditate with Mandy. I am Mandy, and it is my honor and my privilege and my pleasure to be sharing a moment of presence with you.
Go ahead and get cozy and comfy in your space, and as you feather your nest and settle your body in, I want to make mention of the miracle that you and I and this community get to share breath and life and presence together. I am daily in awe of you, of us, of me, of life, and that is some of the magic we’re going to be ingesting today.
So when your body is at ease and you are ready, not a moment before, flutter your beautiful eyelids closed and take a beautiful sip of air in through your nose and let it go through your mouth. Again, a little bit longer this time, in through your nose. Hold for just a moment, and then out through your mouth. Biggest one yet, in through your nose. Let it go through your mouth.
Gorgeous.
Now breathe easy, in and out through your nose, and take a moment to really relax into the safety of your body.
If the body doesn’t feel safe or interesting at this present moment, that is completely okay. Just notice that.
The noticing is the fixing, my dear friend.
We don’t fix.
We witness.
We notice.
And we let the same universe that brought us here fix it for us.
As you’re breathing easy, land your awareness on the center of your chest. On it, and then in it.
If it helps to place a hand or two hands right in between your pectoral muscles, go for it.
Feel your chest fill with the white light of awareness, with breath, rising as you inhale and falling as you exhale.
Like all great empires, it rises and falls.
Today is your permission slip.
Signed, sealed, and delivered.
It says:
It is safe to receive.
Let that echo inside of your chest for a moment.
It is safe for me to receive.
And as you let that bounce around in your chest, witness your breathing.
And my darling, don’t lie to yourself.
Don’t lie to anyone at any time.
Let’s keep it real.
True blue.
Without the urge to fix or consciously slow down, when you hold the truth that it is safe for you to receive, does your breathing change?
Because mine sure does.
Does it become a wee bit more shallow?
Does the breathing pattern just ever so subtly shift?
Does the mind get a little bit louder and suddenly try to pull awareness away into a fantasy or a to-do list or a worry?
Or my personal favorite:
A limiting belief disguised as a fact.
I’ll play the note inside of my chest:
It is safe for me to receive.
And a distant part of my mind will say, You should file your taxes, and you’ll probably have to pay.
And if we can smile and witness with lightness and levity, then we’ve done all the work right there in that moment, my sweet friend.
No need to jump in with a counteracting thought or a thousand rounds of mantra and affirmation.
Oh, you may flow easily into some kind of nourishing ritual that includes elements of affirmation and repetition.
But the universe invites you today.
I invite you today.
You invite you today.
How’s that?
To no longer see yourself as a project requiring fixing.
Those days are over.
It is finished.
You are whole.
So when we hold in the center of our chest this truth:
It is safe to receive.
It is safe for me to receive.
And our body responds, maybe by clenching just a touch or dodging, think of those as little twitches indicating upgrades to your hardware.
And smile if you dare.
For it is safe for you to receive.
And to prove it for funsies, we’re gonna spend the remainder of this session breathing easy and letting ourselves receive truly every bit of nutrient that our lungs can absorb.
And with our breath, we’ll imagine or perceive that we are absorbing energy, vitality, magical synchronicities, kisses from the universe in any form that you like, hope, community, ecstasy, alignment, acceptance, bliss.
Let’s breathe, my sweet friend, and allow ourselves to open to the best that this life has to offer.
Not to just anyone.
Not to you, for often we limit that.
Well, the best life has to offer to me is what it’s already offered, right?
No, no, my love.
We’re asking for the best that life has to offer to the gods, to the divine, to the stars.
For that’s what you are:
Love incarnated.
And it’s time for you to be matched.
Let’s breathe.
[Silent interlude]
As you breathe, my friend, continue to check in with your body, to relax it, to witness it, and let your breathing lead you.
Surrender to it like a hypnotic alchemical ritual.
I’m right here with you.
And when the mind wanders off, bring it right back to the center of the chest, white light glowing there, and whisper to yourself:
It is safe for me to receive.
[Silent interlude]
Beautiful, my sweet friend. Beautiful.
Keep breathing easy, but let go of anything, big, small, medium.
Let it all go.
Drop those shoulders.
Loosen that jaw.
How slow can you go in terms of being right here, right now?
Join me in a moment of listening to the stillness, just for one moment.
Shh.
Listen.
I love you.
That’s what the entire universe is singing to you.
Take a nice, robust inhale in through your nose and let it go through your mouth.
Again, in through your nose.
Let go of doubt through your mouth.
Receive in through your nose.
Release the past through your mouth.
Glorious.
Breathe easy.
And when you’re ready, my darling friend, flutter those beautiful eyelids open to take a look at your world.
My prayer and blessing for you today or tonight is that you are a walking beacon of harmony.
And where before you and I may have mirrored our world, our paradigm shift is we stand in our stillness now and allow the world to either mirror us or melt away.
Miracles will abound.
Until we meet again, I am sending you all of the love that I’ve got.
It is always more, and it is never less.
For you, my dear, dear friend, you are so very worthy.
